We are in a mission to empower female artisans across Latin America
UMA was funded in 2019 in Lima Peru by a group of girlfriends from college. We wanted to help women from the rural Andes to break out of poverty, through their handcrafting skills.
UMA works with them to create and sell high-value handicrafts that allow them to duplicate their income and get economic independence.

Our unique products
UMA works with artisans to empower them economically by creating products that use traditional techniques, preserving Andean culture, that also have modern designs.
Our pieces are handmade from local materials, making them one of a kind.

Our artisans
We work with 400+ female artists from the rural andes, that express their creativity and culture in every piece.
While working with UMA, they double their income, helping them to reach economic independence.
